El Salvador v Jamaica

Jamaica unfortunate to have no points after 1-0 losses to both Canada and Costa Rica. Against Canada it was an even contest but Canada scored a brilliant/lucky goal on the counter attack. Against Costa Rica they really were the better team but failed miserably in front of goal. It seemed they would be able to get at least a draw fairly comfortably but an idiot on Jamaica kicked out at a Tico's player (why I don't know) and was sent off late in the first half. Surprisingly even after the sending off Jamaica was looking pretty good but a defensive lapse on a cross and Costa Rica took all three points.

El Salvador pulled out a 2-1 victory in their first match vs Costa Rica thanks to a woeful clearance very late in the match which gifted them the winning goal. Still a nice performance overall. Second match was not so nice as they were stifled by Canada and hardly threatened the Canuck's net all match. Canada got a goal in the first half and cruised to the 1-0 victory.

imo Jamaica is one of the stronger sides in this competition and simply need a little break to get the ball rolling. They have created good chances but have lacked horribly on the finish. Still I feel its only a matter of time and this is their last stand today. A two goal victory is what is needed for them to have a chance of advancing to the quarter finals. I believe the Reggae Boyz will break out today against a mediocre El Salvador side.

Jamaica -1/4 +100

Also played O2, -105 as Jamaica must attack. Jamaica to win by 2 at +400ish is also a nice play if you can find it.

1-0. Nice call on the Jamaica -1/4.

Sort of, was expecting more from Jamaica. My stupidity in thinking they needed a two goal win for third place (in reality just a victory gave them third, albeit with a weak goal differential) almost worked in my favor as El Salvador opened up desperately late on. The last 5-10 minutes was wide open action as El Salvador looked to stay alive with a equalizer and Jamaica pressed forward to improve their goal differential. Jamaica missed a couple absolute sitters and El Salvador hit the crossbar in the final seconds.
